All of My Blog Freebies by Kit

April 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I’m working on getting the rest of the Forget-Me-Not elements up–hopefully today or tomorrow.

Today I put a new page on my blog that lists all of the freebies I have available.  They are grouped together by the kit.  This should make it easier to make sure that you have all of the pieces of each kit.  Let me know if this is helpful. The pages run across the top of my blog–this is also where you can find my all-about-me page and my terms of use and copyright info.

The ability to make pages is one of the things I love about WordPress.  I think that they are a very good blog provider.  And I love that you can try it out for free for as long as you want.  Despite everything I’ve put on my blog–it still hasn’t cost me a cent.  Just to give you an idea of how much memory you get–I’ve used 62% of my free (as in no cost) available memory.  So if you’ve been toying with the idea of starting a blog–give WordPress a try–totally unsolicited by the way.

I’m also working on making galleries and some slide shows to put on my blog with layouts using each kit.  If you would like your layouts to be included please email them to me–as a 72-100 dpi jpeg.

That’s all for now…

Forget-Me-Not Elements Part 1–Freebie

April 27, 2007 · 7 Comments

Forget-Me-Not Enameled FlourishesForget-Me-Not Buttons PreviewHere’s part 1 of the Elements for Forget-Me-Not. The pictures aren’t to scale beside each other–the flourishes are about three times as big as the buttons. Am trying to squeeze these in between work–I worked 3 am to 7:30 am this morning and am going back at 3 pm to work until 11:30 pm tonight. You can tell how exciting DH and I plan our Friday evenings! One of the evening nurses called in sick so I’m being “oh so generous” and picking up her shift. Which means that it will take me a little bit longer to get all of the elements uploaded. Remember to send me links to your creations–I would love to see what you do with all of the goodies I’ve made. Download expired link.

Have a wonderful Friday/Saturday. Cross some things off of your to-do list, have some fun, spend some quality time with your loved ones–that’s what I’ll be doing when I’m not at work!

New Link for Forget-Me-Not Alpha–Freebie

April 26, 2007 · 3 Comments

I am so embarrassed–I uploaded the wrong Forget-Me-Not Alphabet File. While the alpha file I uploaded looks ok at a glance–it has one fatal flaw–it is not on a completely transparent background. I try very hard to save as I go–but I guess in this case I oversaved and uploaded an earlier version. And here I thought I was being such a great multi-tasker–doing laundry, answering email & uploading all at once. So, so sorry! I hope everyone will not be too annoyed and will take the time to download the alpha with the totally transparent background I just uploaded. I fixed the link in the original post, but I will also repost the new link expired.

Thanks again for visiting my little blog. Don’t forget to share your layouts, projects etc.

Forget-Me-Not Paper Pack 1–Freebie

April 24, 2007 · 14 Comments

Forget-Me-Not Paper Pack 1 PreviewWell–I finally got the first Forget-Me-Not Paper Pack up ready for you to download. In the tiny preview picture it looks like the red doesn’t match–but trust me it does. This paper pack includes 2 copies of the yellow dot–one with a shabby overlay and one without. Everything else is just as seen. Beware these are big files–and this is only paper pack 1. Once I get on a roll I just keep on designing. Mostly because I would like feedback on what is good and what is not so good. Paper pack 2 should be uploaded in the next day or two. The embellishments soon after that.

Download Forget-Me-Not Paper Pack 1 part a expired and part b expired.

Have a great day and please leave some feedback:)

Four Generations of Love

April 24, 2007 · 1 Comment

Four GenerationsAnother page with stuff from my new kit, Forget-Me-Not.  I just need to do the previews and I will start uploading :-) This kit has been a lot of fun.  The papers are just a little shabby–with a tiny bit of grunge, but mostly you’ll find bright, happy colors–suitable for all sorts of pages.  I’m excited to see what you guys will come up with!  So stay tuned…

We had a nice visit with my dad.  He’s doing great, which was a relief to see in person.  When we got home Kirby, our dog, was so happy to see us.  He’s an enthusiastic German shorthair.  He’s 2 yo but he’s still really just a full-grown puppy.  The girls were also happy when we got home–just not so enthusiastic about it-LOL.

The picture above is my grandma, mom, my sister and I, and our kids.  It’s so hard to get together with  everyone–I searched for a picture of all of us with my brothers and their kids.  I also searched for my parents,  sister, brothers, everyone’s spouse and kids–I don’t think there are any :(   What a sad way to learn this important lesson–TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYONE–whenever there is an opportunity!  You just never know when things will change.  And even though we all got together at my mom’s funeral–the pictures just aren’t the same without my mom.

Well lots to do–I need to get busy.  Have a great day.

Strength & Determination

April 19, 2007 · 3 Comments

Strength & DeterminationI was playing around with the papers and journaling circles for my new kit. And even though the kit is somewhat shabby/grungy with the filters and overlays in place–the papers without them were great for this picture of DH doing pullups at the fair two years ago. I tried doing the page both ways–with the filters, overlays and without them. For these pictures I liked it better without, for my heritage & contemporary b&w & sepia I like it better with the filters & overlays. My question is–do you like to have separate overlays (where you can control the opacity–amount of shabby/grunge) or do you like to have the papers completely finished? I’m really curious. Let me know please–so I can finish the kit and get it up! FYI The journaling circles are pre-shabby/grunged–if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

I have the weekend off and DH, DS & I are going to visit my dad on the other side of the mountains for the weekend. I haven’t been for about a month, it’s a five hour drive each way, and I’m looking forward to seeing him. I know he’s lonely with my mom gone. I’m so glad my sister and her husband live close to him and can keep him company.

New kit coming soon: Forget-Me-Not

April 16, 2007 · 3 Comments

Forget Me NotJust wanted you guys to see what I’m working on now.  It should be up within the next week.  The forget-me-nots are taking over my garden again.  They grow so prolifically they are almost like a weed–but I love them, so I let them stay.  How could I forget them–they won’t let me!  So in the spirit of remembering all those who have passed away and to celebrate the new beginnings of spring I’m designing this kit.  I inherited this old dictionary, copyright 1916, from my great-grandma and I just adore it.  So much fun to look at the old pictures & definitions–fun to see what words are new since then too.  I’ll try to share some more of it as time goes by.  So much to do & not enough time as usual.

I survived working this weekend–had fun working with my buddies Carol & Melissa.  It’s so nice to actually like the people you work with.  I just enjoy everyone which makes work so much more pleasant.

April 13, 2007 · 14 Comments

Tailored Flourish Pink Elements Part 2–flowersTailored Flourish Pink Elements Part 2–Word ArtI love pink:) But I am so delighted to say this is the last of the pink!  I’m suffering from pink overload.  I just had to scrap that picture of my brother in the red and brown earlier–not just because it was a cute picture but also because it wasn’t pink!

Enjoy these.  Please leave comments good or bad.  I’m off to a different color palette–Yeah!

Have a great weekend for me–I’m working a double-days & eves tomorrow and days on Sunday:(
