My Layout About Me

Here is my entry in my blog buddy Karen’s Layout about You Challenge.  Of course since I never scrap about me, I’m going to try to get as much mileage out of this layout as I can over the next few years!  So don’t be surprised if it keeps showing up and won’t go away…kind of like a bad headache, dream etc!

Credits: Everything, except the photo mat, is from my new kit “Summer is Here,” except for the buttons which are from my “Tailored Flourish” kit. Photo mat is from Annetje44’s (An Van…) blog, a freebie. Fonts are Marydale (journaling), Pegsanna Hallmark (script) and HVD Bodedo.

Goodnight, I’m scheduled to work a double tomorrow (today!) from 7 am to 1130 pm, so I really need to get some sleep, so my brain will function.  Tootles.

Summer is Here Paper Pack 1

This is part 1 of the papers that go with Summer is Here. For now I have decided to upload little freebies to box.com and keep my larger files at 4 shared. The weather is gorgeous today, but hot, hot, hot–about 90 degrees F. Last week it was about 50 so this has been quite a shock to my system.

The family & I had a great visit with my dad this past weekend. He is doing well, although like the rest of us, he still is trying to fill the void my mom left when she passed away.

The ABC’s of Summer: Alphabet, Border & Cardstock–Freebies

Here is some more Summer is Here–the alpha has been reduced in size a little bit so it would fit on the preview page.  It really fills up  most of the area inside the border.  You can download it here.  As usual any comments or constructive criticism you may have are appreciated.  I’m starting to put together a low-stress CT so if anyone is interested–drop me an email with some links to your layouts–especially layouts created with my kits : ).  There will be a more formal call later–but I wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Since I’m running out of room I’ve been making my preview pics optimized for web–if anyone noticed a decline in the quality of the last few previews please let me know.  They still look great on my computer but everyone’s monitor is different. 

Summer is Here–Border, Word Art & Embroidery–Freebie

Here’s another little something for everyone–more of the Summer is Here kit. It coordinates with the Waiting for Summer kit. The circle word art is the same word art I used in the Making Grammee’s Garden Bloom layout. All of the small stuff is on one large transparent sheet. The border (png) and paper (jpg) are, of course, separate files. Download expired. If you’ve forgotten how to separate out the parts, I wrote a little tutorial for the buttons that will work for the word art and embroidery.

This probably seems weird, but I like my embellishments all as one file–not only does it save space on my hard drive, but I don’t need to have so many files open at once–real handy when you are using an alphabet to spell out a word. I used to save everything as individual files, but decided that I like this way better. What are your thoughts? Are there some programs that don’t let you separate out individual parts of a whole png file?

Tomorrow’s the Last Day for Tailored Flourish in Pink

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow night will be the last time you can download Tailored Flourish in Pink as a freebie.  So if you want it or know someone that does come &  get it fast.  Look at these cute layouts done using this kit.  The one on the left is by Shari of her daughter and the one on the right is by Karen of her nieces.  Also, in case you didn’t notice I started a new page with layouts done by you with my kits.  There are some awesome layouts in this little gallery–I can hardly wait for it to grow…

The basement flooded yesterday…

The unfinished part of the basement flooded yesterday–some problem with the shower line.  Anyway I’ve been busy cleaning up the mess–trying to salvage the items unfortunate enough to still be stored in cardboard.  I’ve been slowly converting all of my storage to the big sterilite tubs you get at Target. It probably wouldn’t have been so bad, but I’ve been rearranging stuff down there, trying to get myself a little scrap/stamp room.  So there were lots of piles of stuff, and lots of cardboard boxes on the ground.  The good news is that most everything was okay.  And as soon as I finish getting the boxes and furniture up off  the floor and finish bleaching the floor–the basement will be nice and sanitary. : )

Anyway–the goodies that I finished, except for the preview, probably won’t be uploaded for another day or so.

I’m scheduled to work a lot at the real job in the next three days, so I’m going to try to squeeze in finishing the preview and uploading. 

Today will hopefully be better…

While I love to design I also love to snag freebies from around the web.  Here are some of my favorites today:

Misty Cato, one of my favorite designers & fellow NWDigiscrapper, has two awesome freebies on her blog: about a boy ages 3-5 sampler & a cute pink & black poodle paper pack that would look great with the Tailored Flourish in Pink kit.

Digidebz has AUBREY KIT PART 3.  She also has an awesome list of freebies.

Jennilyn Designs has some cute templates on her blog.  I swear if I had ever heard of her, last year, I wouldn’t have named my little design company Andilynn Designs.  Andilynn was my nickname growing up.  And there are so many awesome designers named Andrea I just didn’t want to get confused with them.

Bob has the cutest litttle yoyo flowers on her blog.

Summer is Here–Flowers to Celebrate: Freebie

Summer is finally here, at least until sometime this weekend when the rain may return, according to the weatherman.  But until then the sun is shining, bees are buzzing & flowers are blooming.  Enjoy these little flower stickers.  Since I guess some programs don’t let you add drop shadows there are two sets of flowers included–one with drop shadows & one without.
