My CTs are just terrific–both Andilynn Designs and ScrapMatters! I can’t believe how well they’ve rallied around and supported me while I’ve been recuperating from surgery, taking it upon themselves to promote my designs and the shop too.
Nonnie, Andilynn Designs CT leader, had these darling blinkies made for my CT to wear. Here’s mine, I was so surprised that she made one for me too!

And then Hedderlee, on the SM CT, started a thread for get-well cards for me in the SM forum. The gallery was flooded with get well cards! I was so surprised when I saw them for the first time at the hospital, I started to cry. I showed the cards to one of my nurses and she got teary-eyed too. You can take a peek at them here.
And through it all Britt, my right-hand woman, Shari and Happy Scrap Girl have been keeping things going and I am so grateful for them as well as the SM community at large and my family.
Thanks for taking time to read this, I’m just feeling grateful.

For those of you who don’t know what a speed scrap is–everyone meets at the ScrapMatters forum thread at the designated time. They will receive an instruction at the start time and then a new instruction every ten minutes for a total of seven instructions/prompts. After the last prompt is given you have one hour to complete your LO and get it uploaded to the ScrapMatters gallery and posted to the thread.
Why would people be crazy enough to scrap under pressure like this? Because it’s so much fun!!! And there are prizes, great prizes just for participating. And a prize for the winner–this week there will be a $5 gift code to the shop for one lucky random participant at each speed scrap.
Well I couldn’t decide on a time for the speed scrap that I am hosting this week. I wanted to be able to include people in Europe who are usually asleep during the evening speed scraps. But yet I knew some people who would be mighty disappointed if we didn’t have a speed scrap in the evening (US time) this week, sooo…..I decided on Tuesday 7pm (Pacific time) and Thursday at 10 am (Pacific time).
These will be two totally different speed scraps with two totally different sets of rules.
For those of you who manage to squeeze one of these speed scraps into your busy schedule you will receive a fantastic mini kit by Ellie Lash called Wish Garden.

For those of you crazy enough to do both speed scraps you can also receive your choice of my What’s Hangin’ Tag Alpha or my What’s Hangin’ Journals & Tags.

Hi everyone–it’s been a long time since I wrote about a new kit, that’s because it’s been a long time since I’ve had a new kit! What with all the stuff happening at ScrapMatters it seems that I just don’t have time to design like I used to. I have two more kits partially completed that I hope to get into the store soon, but we’ll see.
So here it is, my kitschy, retro, vintage wedding kit called: Little Lovebirds! On Sale for 30% off until 6/24/08.

This kit is jam-packed there are nineteen papers and oodles of embellishments, so many they wouldn’t all fit on the preview, even though items on the preview were made smaller than actual size (does that make sense?). This kit works great for everday LOs as well as wedding layouts.
My CT whipped up some fabulous layouts with it, I am so impressed by their talent and willingness to help.
Nonnie did two:

Chigirl:

Shari:

Emilee:

Kelsy–was that the perfect outfit for this kit or what?

and last but not least Heidi, how perfect are Marley’s harness & leash too?

Well thanks for hanging in until the end of the post. Here’s a little freebie
you can download from the shop here (sorry no longer available). Four brag book pages to turn into not only brag books, but also cards and invitations. Enjoy!

I’ve been feeling really crummy for the past several months and the doctor told me I needed to have a hysterectomy. So I hurried and got it done last Friday, because the doctor thought it was rather urgent. I survived and am feeling well. The kids and all of my friends showered me with cards, flowers and balloons. I was so surprised when I went onto the gallery at ScrapMatters and saw that my fantastic friends there had made me get well cards as well–if you want to check them out click here. I came home yesterday afternoon (Sunday) a day ahead of schedule.
It was nice having surgery at the hospital where you work. I was a little apprehensive at first–I mean I know those people, did I want them to know me that well!!! Everyone that took care of me was so compassionate and helpful, I feel so lucky to work at a hospital where you can get top-rated medical care combined with caring and compassion.
But the most special thing about the whole hospital experience, and there were several, was that my niece had her baby at the hospital the day before my surgery and we were both there recovering at the same time! Here’s a layout I did in the hospital (I love digital) on Saturday.

Isn’t the baby so cute? Life for the most part is definitely good!

I’m so excited to announce my new CT! Sorry no time for a cute ad–hopefully they’ll forgive me. I’m having surgery tomorrow and just wanted to get their names announced. So it is with great excitement that I am happy to announce these gals, in alphabetical order, by their screen names at ScrapMatters: Chigirl, Emileem, Littlemuffin06, Nonnie, Scrappin5kids and Virginiajen. They are a talented group and I am so excited to have them on my team.
