Really liked this talk on creativity and play by Tim Brown on creativity and play. This is applicable to all types of design and team work including digital scrapbooking and designing for digital scrapbooking! I love how he talks about experimenting and constructing with ordinary objects. The thirty circles exercise is really a great way to get out of your design ruts. I also like how he talks about the taking away of creative materials to create prototypes in the school system. Role play as an empathy tool is also very interesting to me as a nurse.
Some brief take aways:
Play is not anarchy.
Play has rules.
Play helps us learn about the world around us.
You can be serious and play.
You need trust to play.
You need trust to create.
If you watch it, let me know what you think.
