The ScrapMatters Birthday Bash Blog Train Starts Here!

You should have arrived at this first stop in the ScrapMatters blog train from the SM team blog and your next stop will be at Britt’s blog.  Have fun on your journey.  If you end up skipping the tracks the master route is on the SM team blog.

Time goes so fast!  It seems like not too long ago SM was celebrating our first birthday.  Every year just keeps getting better.  I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people I have met through ScrapMatters, both in real life and online.  Life is just really good.

This year the theme for our birthdaybash is a summery, picnic in the park kind of feeling to it. I hope you were all able to see our fantastic collab that is FREE by making a one-time $15 purchase in the shop.

If you spend $20 in one purchase you will also receive the coordinating party kit, in addition to the Collab.  I just love this printable pary kit.  I can’t decide which I like more–the banner is cute, but then so are the cupcake picks, and the water bottle holders and the…well you get the idea!  These are automatically added to your cart when you reach the correct amount.

While summer is coming to an end, here in the northern hemisphere at least, there is still time to play and enjoy the fun activities that summer brings.  Iwas born and raised and still  live in the Seattle, WA, USA area, home of gray, rainy days much of the year.  Because of all that gray, my mom used to take us kids to visit her cousin in eastern Oregon, where it is hot and dry, every summer when I was growing up.  I remember going to see Wallowa Lake and picnicing in many state parks.  But what I remember most from those hot summer days was floating down inner tubes in Catherine Creek.  The creek was perfect for kids to cool off in.  Not too deep, the current wasn’t too swift, it was just heaven floating down the creek.  I don’t have any pictures from those days to scrap, but if I did, this quick page would be so easy to quickly scrap the memories.  I hope you enjoy this quick page, you will find all kinds of freebies along the blog train this year, not just quick pages.

Remember to head on over to Britt’s blog next.

Grab Bag Goodies and a RAK

The blog trains (both the Christmas and Thanksgiving are further down the page…

Hi everyone–are you all having a fantastic weekend?  Are you shopping til you drop, both IRL (in real life) and online?  This weekend has been so nice, I haven’t been to a single store.  This is the first Thanksgiving weekened that I haven’t gone shopping and it has been so relaxing.  I had the weekend off from work as well, I work tonight from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, but that is such a short shift, it doesn’t even really count. My neck/shoulder is starting to feel better,  from all of the rest as well, the tingling is decreasing YAY!

I got my grab bag into the shop late last night.  It is full of some really great stuff–five brand new items: an alpha, a template set, a brush set, a word art set and a full-size kit!  You get all of those for the bargain price of $3.00.  Melanie on my CT was kind enough to make the preview for me (using elements from Holly Jolly), she had never made a preview before and I think it turned out swell.

Here are just a couple of LOs my CT made with some of the grab bag items as well as my older designs.
